anantha for some strange reason i found this grid more diff than any b4... as i could not find a word starting with I for the 14 letter which would have been more ideal and easy i guess - anyone got one?
Srividya, do you own a arcane word dictionary or something? I get to learn new words that I would not come across otherwise I guess. For instance, no way I am gonna be reading georgette heyer or stumble upon epris. :)
There must be veggie sausages out there somewhere. They have simulated meat for almost everything nowadays. Btw, Imma vegetarian too.
knew it was a mistake to quote heyer...to a bunch of gorillas :-)dont make me regret it further!
kowtow..arcane word dic - nah - anantha's lateral clue for his alternate game (funravel) so top of mind, Dont miss out on it...its more brain work and has some laterateness (what the devil is the noun form) :-)
and anantha...dont give out dire warnings such as curtains etc - u have fame galore - while i didnt participate (not that i stood a chance) - have def heard of the ripples cluenatic created. how can u abandon us - its ur karma methinks towards us less cerebral folks :-)
in case u r leaving us for some reasons (what they r i cant imagine) - be assured of a handsome virtual tombstone from me
Sigma 26 is a word grid game where you'll have to guess a word given it's sigma score & number of letters.

Rules of the Game
1. I'll give you an alphabet shaped word grid. 2. I will indicate the number of words to be uncovered with black flags. 3. Each of these black flags will carry the Sigma 26 or word scores for the respective words. 4. Now that you know the number of letters & the Sigma 26, you'll have to uncover the words. Make sure the words you uncover fit the word grid & also match the wordscores. 5. The first person to uncover the word grid will make it to the Sigma Hall of Fame. 6. Sigma 26 word grids are of 6 levels of difficulty - Playschool, LKG, UKG, UG, Graduate & Doctorate. A typical Playschool grid is one in which 5 letters are revealed while a Doctorate grid is one where 0 letters are revealed. The added twist in a Doctorate puzzle is the words in the grid have a connecting theme. 7. The shape of the grid is an additional clue. At least one of the words in the grid will start with the same letter as cued by the shape.

hmm.. UKG alright.. Parasu waits to see if Anantha relaxes the one grid a day rule..
Holding back (heavy heartedly) to see if Srividya posts an entry for this.
wow...cant believe the grid is still empty...is any1 playing this game besides me, parasu, sheece and niru ?
i have a possible winner
isochor

well i had arrived at
itemize
mnemotechnists (wasn't sure if mnemotechnists would be accepted)
but i felt it would be the first word, which would start with an I, coz there was no clue for tht...
mnemotechnists - not being accepted by my dictionary. u wont believe how many words i had to go thro b4 hittin on colloquialisms - a valid word.
this should not be a ukg grid is my feel...perhaps of course anantha has a simpler word i totally missed
are u guys also into anantha's other brain child - funravel? its simpler....
oh and anantha - pls explain the arcane dec 31 curtains comment u had made earlier...
sri vidya gets it. she earns a point for her efforts...there's nothing arcane about what i said. it's what it is.
isochor = 87
colloquialisms = 177
hopsack = 73
Were the ones that I had come up with. I think this grid is a fair UKG one.. was comparatively quick to solve.
kowtow to ur quickness parasu..hit upon colloq only a full hour later...
and parasu... i am a gourmand remember..obviously i am gonna think of sausages (b4 hopsack)- tho i admit am a veggie and hv never tasted one b4 :-)
kowtow.. thats a cool word..
